Traditional history, coupled with myths and storytelling, bears witness to thousands of years of women’s wisdom. This endowment of feminine energy waits for each generation to embody it.
Yet each generation of women appears to re-invent itself, seemingly without awareness of this
inherent wisdom. The women of Soul Spring are given access to this endowment through
community living and shared activities. The intention is to raise collective and individual feminine consciousness, empowering women to value and revere themselves and their place in the world.
Women tend to pass along inherent truths to each other most often while engaged in activities:
“meeting at the well” in ancient times, a group of Native American women grinding corn, an 18th
century sewing circle. Nowadays those activities might include board meetings, volunteer
projects, business lunches, coffee klatches, school hook-up lines, or the newly popular “Soccer
Mom” circuit. Whatever the forum, women seem to be open to seeking solutions and wisdom
from each other. The mission of Soul Spring Retreat leans on this assumption. Nurturing mind,
body, and spirit is the underlying focus of activities at Soul Spring Retreat.
